Published by the Design Museum, Fifty Bicycles That Changed the World by Alex Newson celebrates the world's most popular form of transport.

From the penny-farthing and the velocipede, the design of the bicycle has evolved over the decades both in terms of style and technology. From high-performance cycles to practical run-arounds, conceptual bikes to commercial models, Newson explores the 50 most innovative and influential bicycles from around the world.

Photographically illustrated, enjoy learning about Henry J. Lawson's Safety Bicycle (c.1880), the classic Raleigh Chopper (1969), Eddy Merckx's Hour Record Bicycle (1972) and the 2012 Team GB Track Bike amongst others. A must for bike fans and a perfect gift for Father's Day.
