An important message for our customers

To all our customers,

As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, we wanted to update you on the enhanced measures we are taking at Cotswold Trading and Rikki Tikki to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. Hygiene is a top priority and we would like to share with you the additional measures we are taking:

Our stores and online orders

Our offices and stores in Broadway and Leamington Spa, as well as our warehouse in Broadway, are all still open and will continue to do so for as long as we are able to, based on UK Government guidelines. We are strictly adhering to the guidelines of the UK Government and World Health Organisation. Across our business, enhanced cleaning measures have been put in place to protect the safety of our customers and staff.

Everyone at Cotswold Trading and Rikki Tikki is strictly following the WHO guidelines regarding self-isolation at any signs of illness. We are also working closely with our suppliers to ensure staff welfare continues to be prioritised. Our staff are very much aware that they need to look after their own health and be mindful of our customers’ health too.

Deliveries of online orders

Please be assured that our website www.cotswoldtrading.com is very much open for business and we are delivering to customers across the UK. We have a range of different delivery options available, from ‘collect in store’ from our Broadway shop if you are local, right through to a next working day delivery service for those must-have items you want quickly.

If you have chosen a signed-for delivery service, both Royal Mail and DPD, our UK delivery couriers, have stopped asking for signatures when delivering parcels to customers.

With Royal Mail, in cases where a parcel does not fit through a letterbox, they will leave the item at the door, and will step aside after knocking to ensure there is a safe distance while you retrieve your parcel. Items, however, will not be left outside if no one is home unless you have designated a ‘safe place’.

With DPD, drivers are no longer asking customers to sign handheld units and instead they will sign it on their behalf. DPD will record the consignee’s name and a ‘Delivered on Authority’ message in the signature section of the unit.

Due to uncertainties surrounding the safe, secure and swift passage of parcels to our international customers, we took the decision on Monday 16th March to temporarily suspend our international deliveries. More information can be found on our delivery page.

Rikki Tikki Toy Shop

Our toy shop in Broadway is crammed full of wonderful toys, puzzles and gifts for children. The store on the high street is open as usual and although the products are not online, we can of course post out items to customers in the UK if they are unable to come to Broadway. Just phone the store on 01386 859650 or email rikkitikki@cotswoldtrading.com and our staff will be more than happy to advise and talk you through placing an order.
