One Hundred Stars is a British family-run business founded in 2015 by two sisters, Heather and Rona Stevenson. The brand is best known for its beautiful and ethical clothing, accessories, and homeware, with distinctive and often eccentric prints inspired by classical and historical designs.
Ethical manufacturing and sustainable practices are the core values of this brand. They partner with a small second-generation family business in India for sourcing and manufacturing their products, following the highest standards of ethical, environmental, and health & safety practices. They are now considered dear friends to the brand.
One Hundred Stars’ values & sustainability
Their dedication to their values extends to every detail, from using only AZO-free dyes to recycled packaging and ensuring all their staff, both in the UK and abroad, are paid above the living wage to ensure fair working practices.
They also prioritise sustainable fabrics like Bemberg™ Cupro and LENZING™ Ecovero™ (an eco-responsible viscose from sustainably managed forests) and 100% organic cotton. The brand is also committed to better eco practices with an aim to reduce waste by designing items from off-cut materials and repairing faulty items for charity sales. This extends to their operational efforts as One Hundred Stars primarily uses sea freight to reduce their carbon footprint.
