Who is Roger la Borde?
Founded by two sisters, Alison and Jenni aimed to create and publish charming, eclectic and wonderful greeting cards, stationery and luxe journals. In 1985, recently graduated, Alison and Jenni hatched a plan to design beautiful and unusual things together on paper and beyond.
They started with non-mainstream greetings cards and sourcing ground-breaking art by discovering young artists at graduate shows; Roger la Borde found a daring niche and led the way for design-led stationery in the UK. They then sold them to cool, design-led shops up and down the country.
