Redecker Ostrich Feather Duster

This 50cm long Ostrich Feather Duster from Redecker, with its varnished wooden handle and rich, dark feathers, makes quick work of dusting. Unlike ordinary dusters that simply scatter dust, this one traps and removes it effectively from ceilings, light fixtures, ornaments, furniture and stairs. It's the perfect tool for a speedy clean when you'd rather be doing something else.

Known as the "queen of feather dusters," the ostrich feather's unique structure is key to its superior performance. Each feather is composed of a central shaft with long barbules, and each barbule is further divided into tiny, hooked barbicels (essentially, a feather made of mini feathers). This intricate design doesn't just sweep dust away; it captures and holds it within the fine barbules. The lightness of the feathers also ensures delicate items remain undisturbed during dusting. This exceptional cleaning ability, combined with their historical association with status and luxury in private homes, has cemented the ostrich feather duster's reputation as a truly effective and desirable cleaning tool.
